Great designs in the making. Kinda indie style with the triangles and clocks but lovely, I will be ordering a few to team up with my skinnies and Vans (bright pink) so thinking the pink tie die. They also have great bands they promote from their facebook page, deffo worth a listen. Not too sure on the prices yet but will get back to you on my experience of ordering from them. So far, they have been lovely on twitter. All i can say is good words for now but seems like a great concept.

size - 14
Love this find from a local charity shop! at £1.85 it was a steal. This blouse teamed up with black skinnies/leggins and brogues create such a cute look. Glammed up or wore casual it looks amazing. As i stated before I am a size 6/8 and this happens to be a 14 but I couldn’t resist. Looks good baggy though, not a complaint in store. I love the detailing of the buttons to the groovy pattern on the left side. 80’s fashion must have.

I’m gonna tell you about my trip to the ‘Frayed Hem’, Its placed on the way up to the Royal Mile, nestled in between a mixture of different shops such as ‘route one’ - snap backs, skateboards and your classic Vans and ‘Pie in The Sky’ - girly with an edge, emo, body jewelry, fake eyelashes etc. (Will post links at the bottom) The shop window is intriguing with one window containing women’s wear displaying fur jackets, pearl beaded necklaces, scarves and a stunning dress. The other, showing off the fantastic vintage menswear, tweed seems to appear quite a bit. On entering the shop, I was greeted by a lovely girl sitting on a laptop, the music didn’t seem to go with the atmosphere of the shop but I enjoyed singing along to the chart music while browsing. I worked my way round the shop, and to my suprise I noticed a sale rale, I was drawn in! To my disappointment I did not see anything I was attracted too. Sad times. I had a glance over the jewelry and gloves that were laid out neatly on a table next to the cash desk. I was the only one in the shop yet I was left to browse on my own. Felt a tiny bit awkward but I continued to take clothes of the rail and examine them, gently placing them back when I seen the prices of some things! That was until I came across the playsuit. Stunning! I asked to try it on, the changing room was small with no mirror inside but a GIGANTIC one facing the door of the changing room. As I was by myself I felt brave enough to step out of the enclosed space and too my great pleasure I loved the playsuit, a deffo buy. I placed it back on the hanger and ventured to the cash desk where I noticed a sign that if paying my debit/credit card a 50p fee would be added. Perfectly fine by me! and plus I was lacking cash on me at the time. The item was folded neatly and placed in a basic yet classic brown paper bag. I walked out a happy bunny!

RIVER ISLAND
Well, today, sigh. Weather is dire, I have major tummy cramps and I drank the last of the cranberry juice. COULD THIS DAY GET ANY WORSE? answer: yes. Found out I am working a 9 hour shift tomorrow. boo hoo! However I should be very grateful that I have a job in this recession crisis. And I got a pay rise (I say payrise but I mean that minimum wage got increased) so more pennies in my purse for me. Which in actual fact those pennies, pounds and notes will be getting handed straight over to my lovely mother as I am paying to go on her car insurance. Ugh. I am in need of new clothes! River Island atm have lovely knitwear in priced from £10 on the promo polo neck. Yes, polo necks are back in fashion, ideal for keeping those necks warm and hiding the drunken love bites!!

Check out the collection, some groovy stuff there!)
This autum is all about layering and different textures. That means fur, denim, cotton, knitwear and frills. Aztec prints are a big must have! Such as the best seller in the Edinburgh Gyle RI.
My personal fave out of the RI collections is GIGI. Taking inspiration from stars of the 60's such as Twiggy. Its all about crochet, collars and monochrome. The main colours in this collection are dark, black, white and marroon. This collection contains many fantastic playsuits at resonable prices with details that add class to the look. Such as gold buttons and little black bows. Simplistic yet statement worthy.
my fave item ^ due to the price, fit, colour and wearability. Can be wore casually or dressed up with a pair of heels and a bright coloured clutch bag. Blocked heel would add even more class to the look! Some shoes at RI have great promo, many boots having as much as £25 off! wow! (tip- even though hanging shoes in RI are cheaper the boxed shoes are better quality and will save money in the long run!)
jumper - RI
leggins - Primark
hat - Cosy Camper
love heart necklace - Dorthy Perkins
also, give mac miller a listen.

Hello Lovely Ladies.
First ever post! woo woo. Well, I am Clair. Howdy. I have a keen interest in fashion and would love to share my thoughts and opinions with you guys. I work for a high street company (not mentioning any names!!) and basically find any excuse to buy new clothes. I am sure you lot understand the temptation of sale signs and cute patterned dress. Somehow I can never walk past a shop without going in no matter the price range. Although my bank is lacking in pennies I just like to tease myself. My top 5 high street shops are (in no order): Primark, Urban Outfitter, Topshop, RI and H&M. I like to buy basics from there! I do however shop in the majority of charity shops. I love the retro granny look. Can't beat cosy cardigans for coming into the long cold nights ahead!! Anyway, this blog will contain my latest purchases and fashion heads up! thanks for your time, and I hope to hear your input on my posts.
much love, CLK
